• Two times (2013 & 2017) awardee of the most prestigious “UGC (University Grants Commission) Bangladesh Award/Gold Medal” for academic excellence in the areas of Economics & Business Studies. 
• Three times winner (2001, 2007 & 2017) of the most esteemed “University of Dhaka Justice Ibrahim Memorial Gold medal” for outstanding academic and research work. 
• Visiting Scholar at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China (3/2002-7/2002)
• Visiting Scholar at the Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan (4/2010-5/2010) 
• Lifetime Achievement Friendship Award 2022 as Eminent Scholar given by India-Bangladesh Literature Culture Council on November 18, 2022.
